Removal of Conditions
It is a legal process in which a non-U.S. citizen spouse converts their conditional status to a lawful permanent resident.
Application and Eligibility:
Form I-751 is used to apply for Petition to Remove Conditions. There are a couple of things to keep in mind when applying for I-751, which are as follows.
• You need to apply within the 90 days before your conditional green card expires. Your application can be returned or denied if it is not in the 90-day window.
• Evidence of a real marriage needs to be included such as recent pictures together, joint documentations or perhaps any children together.
